MARA TALES II

MAASAI MARA. KENYA

My eyes are always instinctively searching for giraffes in the savanna, scanning the horizon scrutinazing any shape in the distance of the tallest mammal on earth. And here we go: they were approaching the solitary acacia tree with their elegant necks stretching upward as if in harmony with the tree’s silhouette. Again I position myself in a low angle so I emphasize the grandeur of the scene.

It’s a very minimalistic image, but the symmetry adds balance and beauty to the giraffes’ graceful forms and the acacia’s iconic shape.
