NEARNESS
NEARNESS
A moment of intimacy and nearness in between the largest zebras species: Grevy. I spent many years photographing them, and love capturing these minimalistic and intimate images where zebras create bonds.
Females and males without territories may form temporary grazing groups, although they don’t have permanent social bonds between adults, for young ones playing is common. They have thicker stripes and bigger ears, with prominent and erect manes. Unfortunately they are also the most threatened.
